Here is how it works: Shinedaily works with merchant who has promotional product or service. We will send out email about this promotion to user. User may sing-up, forward to friends or simply ignore it. When minimum number of member signup to have this product or services, the promotion is effectively turn on; else, it is void. Example 1: Company A sell certain brand mobile phone that has promotion price 50% discount if there are 100 Shinedaily user signup. We will send out this information to all user, out of tens of thousands users who received our email, 200 of them may signup within promotion period, then the promotion is on. And those member who signup gets 50% discount on this mobile phone. Example 2: Company B sell travel package and has promotion up to 70% if there are 500 people signup within 2-weeks time. We send out newsletter to all users and there are only 250 people signup; since 250 is less than 500. This promotion is off and void. User who sign-up does not need to pay or buy anything from Company B (at 70% discount rate). You can think this as "online queue". Example 3: This is about price locking and time locking. Company C sell contact lens online and since you are regular users, you may purchase contact lens with price locking with big discount. If current price is $50 per box of contact lens, you paid $500 for price locking and company C give 20% discount. You will get 12 delivery (instead of 10 delivery) of lens within agreed time slot (within few months to years, depends on merchant's term and condition). This is considered as "group purchase" by yourself.
